Yeah, what KBK said. It's supra weird and hilarious. I love the art style and animations. They're great. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to the music yet as every time I've played it since I got it I was in an incredibly loud location and couldn't hear it. I should play it tonight.
I've tossed in 1000 Rupees thus far into the, uh, Rupee lake? I dunno what that place is called. Currently I have around 8 Rupees on me. I am RAKING IN THE DOUGH. |

8 Rupees? That sounds like a dangerous way to live. _________________ [quote="Someone's sig on the AoC forums"]THis game really is more geared towards the adult then, teenbeat wow. This mmo makes u think, somthing a teenager hates to do. -Skopas, eloquently discussing how grown up AoC is.

That's got to be the worst purchasing system in any game I've ever heard of. Unless said vendors display "baseline" prices that you can just pay without having to worry about getting gypped out of your hard-earned cash. _________________ "" |

Yikes. So it comes down to wild guesswork, then? That sounds downright maddening, especially given that you're throwing away not just your funds but your HP as well. No thanks. _________________ "" |

It's definitely a flavor thing. I wouldn't be able to play a game like that either - I'd keep saving, going to the shop, and lowering my price to see if I could get a better deal. It'd drive me insane.
Then again, it is a Tingle game. They probably figured "if it's gonna be weird, let's go all out." Cause tbh I probably wouldn't play a Tingle game even if it had the best gameplay of any game in the world ever. No offense Tingle fans! _________________ [quote="Someone's sig on the AoC forums"]THis game really is more geared towards the adult then, teenbeat wow. APOLLO JUSTICE
Admittedly I don't like the "magic bracelet" gimmick. But luckily it hardly intrudes on the gameplay so,

Apollo Justice was... less tightly plotted than the PW games, I think. Especially the last case which doesn't really make sense unless you suspend your disbelief to allow for time traveling, but the third case has problems too.
Still a great game, tho. |

I don't know for sure since I haven't played the game.

The 4th case has you taking control of Phoenix in flashbacks. Sometimes Phoenix will collect a piece of evidence from one flashback to be used to break a psyche-lock in a different flashback.
The problem is, there's at least one instance where the flashback you got the evidence from occurs after the flashback where you use it, meaning Phoenix apparently used evidence to break a lie years before he ever even saw the evidence in question. |

I think I mentioned this in another thread ages ago, but much as I liked Apollo Justice, I thought it got a bit predictable. I'd guessed the big revelation at the end long before it happened. Although maybe that's just a result of having played too many Phoenix Wright games. _________________ [quote="Tommy"]Tinytim got it.

Still playing Twilight Princess. And still loving it.

I've just been drumming on Rock Band for three hours. It's SO fun. It's the best exercise I've got in a while.

Speaking of Rock Band, I got to play my brother's copy of Rock Band 2 all weekend -- specifically, the Wii version -- and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Harmonix seems to have corrected every last one of the huge, glaring mistakes they made when porting the original RB to Wii. The full-featured Tour mode is there; the character creation/customization is there; the DLC is (largely) there. Plus it's compatible with all of the GHWT instruments we already own. Good on ya, Harmonix; you've moved up quite a few notches on the ol' Respect-O-Meter. Good on ya indeed. _________________ "" |
