I'm surprised that you didn't take the opportunity to move FCMidi's forums to phpBB 3.0 RC1 (or 2).

Oh, and one advantage to running your own server like VGMusic does is that you can schedule backups. A copy of all the databases on VGMusic's machine is dumped nightly, in case a table gets corrupted.

Well, I had three reasons for not going to phpBB 3.0.

It's not listed under the "stable" releases on phpBB's download page and since it's new, none of us have experience with it. Lastly, there's the inevitable lack of mods compared to phpBB 2.0.

We have a bunch of things that are geared for phpBB 2.0 and without knowing for sure that there is an equivalent in 3.0, making the move could be more trouble than it's worth.

Kinda like switching from XP to Vista in a business scenario, only significantly less serious.

Some reason I see the last post as the 20th, when I sign on it changes to the 21st.

I'd say that's due to the fact that the default time zone, which is displayed when you're not logged in, is not the same as your own.
