Is there some important advantage to buying Platinum if I already own and completed Diamond? I've been opposed to it this whole time.

Though, at this point, going through the whole pokemon game again sounds kind of fun. Starting a new version of the same game after a while really carries a good feeling I can't quite explain.

Battle Frontier, man, Battle Frontier.

Also Platinum Move Tutor. Gotta love that Move Tutor.

I don't know much about it, but it's apparently like some kind of Battle Tower x7. There are all kinds of specialized battling areas with all kinds of special things and stuff and I don't really care about it 'cause I'm not into the battling. I like the collecting.

I'd like to get Platinum purely because the story intrigues me. I mean, Pearl's was actually pretty alright (given what I've come to expect from Pokemon as far as stories go), and Platinum's sounds pretty intense.

Another reason to get Platinum: Space Worm Giratina. 'Nuff said.

Yeah, it's basically like the Battle Frontier from Emerald if you've ever played that. If you haven't, then kaoskastle summed it up nicely.

It's called "Origin Forme" FYI. Hat

I might get Platinum. It seems like a bit of a waste though with how much I played Diamond (at least 250 hours) to get a new one.

They're fun though, so I might do.

My Pokemon Red account has >300 hours on it.

For that reason, I haven't played any Pomemon games since.

I'd look up how many I'd caught, but I've lost the cartridge. That's a reason to buy Platinum. I know I had a lot. About 390.

oh wow, so far my counts are just about the highest
ack
It's been a while, but I think my hours are at ~350, and my Pokemon caught is at 420 or so. I'd like to import Platinum and import all of my Pokemon from Pearl over to it and then finish off the 'Dex on Platinum, but I'm not sure that Pokemon are transferable from a US game to a Japanese game. :/

Yeah, because when Platinum is released on March 22, they'll certainly make sure US gets the Japanese version of the game, even though they've been putting off the time to make it American.

Remembering where we were arguing that I owned you like, 6 months ago?

It just happened here. ZING Very Happy

After 125 hours Fallout 3 is slain. I've since moved on to Fable II which isn't as good but still fun. Even if both my wives left me on Valentines Day, taking my daughters Laserchild and Jailbait with them.

Haha. I love that "at least 250 hours". My game apparently has 249:33 logged. I have all 493, though. I just kind of decided to stop when I did that because... competitive pokemon is absurd...

Halo 2... Haven't played Halo in a couple of years because no body does anything in Sutherlin, where I was living for almost two years... Forgot how much fun Halo can be with friends. "Did you see me run over your face? In the Warthog? Right after I did a vertical 360 off your grenade?" "Yeah... I saw it.." =D

I know that you can't transfer Pokemon from one region's GBA game to another region's DS game, so odds are I won't be able to trade them and I'll have to start all over. D:

Freshly-Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.

That game is freaking weird, it's like Zelda on acid. And yet, it's addictive as heck.

This applies to many Nintendo games (arguably the majority).

Argh, you jerk... I want that game. It costs so much MONEY, though. :'(
I'm glad that the European version came out to finally settle the name translation debate. People were like "it's called this!" "no it's called this!!" and it was maddening.
